Artisan Hue
Founded by Alex Donahue, Ph.D., AIA, AICP, NCIDQ, and Daejauna Donahue, Artisan Hue is an internationally recognized multidisciplinary art and design studio that bridges creativity, innovation, and craft. Our work lives at the intersection of visual storytelling, experiential design, and aesthetics. Blending expertise across product design and branding, we create immersive work and meaningful connections between people, ideas, and spaces.
Our products have been sold in stores around the world, including: The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), The Guggenheim, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VFMA), The Getty Museum, Newark Museum of Art, Princeton Museum of Art, MCA Chicago, and the Phoenix Art Museum, among others! We have also collaborated with Projects Watches, James Wines and the Iconic studio SITE (Sculpture In The Environment), Mad Hudson Watches, and are always seeking partnerships with like-minded creatives.
We are a fashion and design company guided by expressive minimalism, a design approach that values clarity, intention, and restraint while allowing form and material to carry meaning. Our work focuses on clean lines, thoughtful proportions, and refined palettes, paired with subtle details that add character and depth. We design pieces to be timeless rather than trend-driven, emphasizing craftsmanship, durability, and versatility. The result is a design that is simple but not stark, minimal yet expressive, and made to be lived with over time.
We strive not just to produce great designs but to build a community around our work. We hope that you enjoy browsing our store.
