Alex Donahue, Ph.D., AIA, AICP, NCIDQ
Founder, CEO
Alex Donahue is an internationally recognized designer and CEO of Artisan Hue. His designs include the Pride Watch and the Gradient. Alex has received several design awards for his independent work, including two GOOD design awards, sponsored by the Chicago Athenaeum and the European Center for Architecture and Urban Design, in product design.
Alex is a licensed architect with over 15 years of professional experience. Donahue is passionate about design at all scales, from urban design and exterior and interior architectural design to wearable product design. He’s worked on everything from twin skyscrapers in Los Angeles to a Denny’s in Las Vegas, complete with a wedding chapel!
Alex is also the Director of Planning at Michael Graves, where he has participated in architecture, planning, and design projects worldwide. He has previously practiced at several notable design firms, including Skidmore Owings & Merrill (SOM), Pei Cobb Freed, and SITE (Sculpture In The Environment). Donahue also teaches design at the George Washington University, Corcoran School of the Arts & Design.
Daejauna Donahue, AIA
Founder, COO
Daejauna Donahue is the co-founder of Artisan Hue. She has extensive design experience, manages daily operations, and is unofficially the “chief taste-maker” in the studio.
Daejauna has worked on everything from designing a shark tank on Coney Island to serving on the planning commission for College Park, Maryland.
